The Details of the Strikingly Business Website Builder

Strikingly offers three different plans for its business website builder service: Limited ($8/month), Pro ($16/month), and VIP ($49/month). We don’t think the Limited is an option at all for serious businesses, as it has very low limits for storage and bandwidth, along with an incredibly high 5% fee on all transactions (we’ve never seen a rate higher than 3% with any competitor).

With either the Pro or VIP package, you’ll receive a broad selection of features to help you create the ideal landing pages for your business.

Overall Pricing and Value:

While Strikingly’s prices start out pretty low, the Limited plan has that name for a reason, and it’s not an option for business owners, in our opinion. Even the Pro plan for $16 per month has some serious limitations, such as the inability to contact customer support via phone.

Of course, the biggest limitation of all is the fact that Strikingly only allows you to build landing pages. While you can make some really nice-looking one-page sites using its tools, the single-page site is a bit outdated at this point, and it can get cluttered quickly if you need to go into much depth about any aspect of your business.

That said, if all you need is a simple landing page where you can provide some basic info for your customers, Strikingly is a reasonably priced option.

Track Record:

Strikingly is based in China and has been around since 2012. Unfortunately, that’s about all we were able to find out about this company, as it doesn’t have an “About Us” page and Wikipedia doesn’t have much info either.

It’s borderline bizarre how few customer reviews we were able to find for Strikingly. While most of its competitors have thousands of reviews available on reputable third-party review websites, we found just 34 unique reviews of Strikingly’s services.

We were able to find about 700 reviews for the Strikingly app on the Apple App Store, with mostly positive scores, but it would be nice if we could get some insight into its customer satisfaction reputation beyond just its apps.

Customer Support:

On one hand, Strikingly offers 24/7 customer support, which is a nice benefit. However, you are not allowed to call them on the phone unless you subscribe to the top-tier $49/month VIP plan.

The lack of phone support is a pretty major drawback that sets Strikingly back a bit. While we have always received reasonably efficient and knowledgeable assistance using their chat feature, it’s still a bummer to not be able to make a phone call if you’re having trouble.

Ease of Use:

There wouldn’t be much point in using a business website builder if it didn’t make it cheaper and easier to create the perfect website for your company. Thankfully, Strikingly does just that, with an easy-to-use interface and intuitive features. It also offers mobile apps with an excellent user experience.

Considering that Strikingly only allows you to create single-page websites, it’s no surprise that its design tools are intuitive and simple, without much of a learning curve. Overall, Strikingly does a great job in this category.

What Are Customers Saying About the Strikingly Business Website Builder?

We were unfortunately only able to find 34 reviews of Strikingly on reputable third-party review aggregator websites. This is such a small sample size that’s it’s essentially impossible to do any meaningful analysis on it, especially when its competitors tend to have thousands of reviews on these same sites.

When it comes to the Strikingly app, we found 688 customer reviews in the Apple App Store. With an outstanding 4.7 out of 5 average score, it’s clear that customers tend to appreciate the company’s intuitive mobile app.
