Without the Certificate of Formation, your LLC doesn’t technically exist, so it’s important to file it as soon as you can. It comes with a $300 fee whether you file online or with a hard copy. Foreign Qualification Fee

This only applies if your LLC was formed in another state and is now expanding into Texas. For foreign business entities, the “Application for Registration” takes the place of the Certificate of Formation.
