With more than 20 years of experience providing business services, InCorp currently serves more than 125,000 active clients around the world.

The LLC formation industry is a crowded one, but InCorp consistently finds a way to remain relevant despite heavy competition.

With this InCorp LLC service review, we’ll discuss the key factors that should help you make your decision whether to use their services or not.

Advantages & Disadvantages

Advantages of InCorp

✔ Looking to add registered agent service from InCorp? While their LLC formation might not be the best value around (more on that in a moment), their great rates for registered agent service make up for it. Their pricing starts at $99, and they have volume discounts that can drive the price all the way down to $67 per year. Not many competitors can match that low price.

✔ If you place a high value on customer feedback, InCorp will likely appeal to you. Most of their online customer reviews are positive in nature, reflecting a satisfied client base.

✔ InCorp’s price match guarantee ensures that they’ll not only match competitors’ prices on similar products and services, but they’ll also go a step further and beat those rates.

Disadvantages of InCorp

– InCorp’s listed price of $99 for LLC formation service doesn’t include shipping, which is currently a mandatory $18 add-on. This brings your total to at least $117.

– That price match feature might come in handy, because it’s very easy to find lower prices. At $117, their LLC formation package is a no-frills offering that only provides the basics. For example, there are cheap LLC services that offer business formation with a year of registered agent service for $39 or less.

InCorp LLC Formation Packages

Unlike many competitors who offer several levels of LLC service, InCorp has a base rate of $117 ($99 + $18 shipping) across the board for any LLC formation. If you’d like to take a look at how they advertise this service, check out the breakdown below.

LLC Formation Service = $117 ($99 + Shipping)

➢ Preparation and Filing of Articles of Organization: The articles of organization are crucial to any LLC formation because these are the documents filed with your state to officially create your new company. InCorp will draft these forms, then file them with your state of formation.

➢ Name Availability Search: To ensure that your desired business name is still available, InCorp will search your state’s official business database to make sure your LLC name isn’t already claimed.

➢ Domestic 2-Day Shipping: You can upgrade to overnight shipping for an additional $6.

What Other Services Does InCorp Offer?

As with most competitors, InCorp provides many other business services alongside its business formation offering. We took a deep dive into the other services InCorp offers to see how much they charge for them, which can be especially interesting when examining a la carte pricing for features included in their formation packages.

Let’s take a look at everything InCorp offers and discuss which services are good deals and which ones you can ignore.

➢ Registered Agent ($67-99/year): Receiving and forwarding important government documents is InCorp’s signature service, and they have lower rates than most competitors. Take a look at how their volume discounts can affect your bottom line:

  • 1 Year: $99/year
  • 2 Years: $89.10/year
  • 3 Years: $80.52/year
  • 4 Years: $73.06/year
  • 5+ Years: $66.56/year

➢ LLC Kit & Seal ($69 plus $18-24 shipping): Many years ago, a wax seal embossed with your company name was the primary means of authenticating important business documents. If you like the idea of having a decorative seal and a custom binder for your company documents, you can acquire one from InCorp.

➢ Certificates of Good Standing ($35 plus state fee): These forms indicate that your company is currently compliant with state regulations. A Certificate of Good Standing is sometimes required for banking transactions, loan acquisitions, potential partnerships, etc.

➢ “Limited Liability Companies for Dummies” Book ($24.99): A comprehensive guide to all things LLC, this book contains a number of tips and tricks for every step of the LLC life cycle.

➢ Federal Tax ID (EIN) Obtainment ($69): This enables your company to hire employees, open business banking accounts, file taxes, etc. Think of it as a Social Security Number for your company.

➢ Prepare IRS Form SS-4 ($35): This is the tax form that goes along with the EIN. You can fill it out yourself, but if you’d rather not, this option is for you.

➢ Managed Annual Report Service (pricing not disclosed): Instead of filing your own annual reports, InCorp will monitor your LLC’s status with the state, keep track of your due dates, and prepare and file your report.

License Research Service ($139): InCorp outsources this service to a company called LicenseLogix, which will compile the registration forms needed to acquire the licenses and permits your business needs to operate in a compliant fashion. If you don’t want to fill out the forms yourself either, they offer the prepare and submit the applications for you (for an additional fee of $199 per license).

Foreign Qualification ($149): If your LLC already exists in another state, you need to file a foreign qualification rather than a formation. Considering that some competitors charge considerably more for this same service (like LegalZoom’s $229 price point), this is a reasonable offer.

➢ Dissolution ($99): Are you ready to shut your LLC’s doors for good? InCorp will complete and file your dissolution paperwork, closing your business and removing your responsibility for keeping up with ongoing maintenance requirements. Some competitors charge $150 or more for this service.

➢ Certified Copy ($39): If you need any official copies of your state-filed business documents, InCorp will acquire them for $39. This is a solid price point that’s slightly lower than industry norms.

➢ Amendments ($99): If you need to amend your LLC’s formation documents to reflect important changes made to your business, InCorp will file amendments for $99 each, plus the state fee. This is right in line with the rates charged by most competitors for this service.

➢ Apostille ($88): Apostille certificates allow your business to operate in foreign countries. For $88, InCorp will file these forms on your behalf. This is a reasonable price point, but we will point out that Swyft Filings offers this same service for $75.

➢ Trademark Registration ($574): InCorp will register your trademark with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for $574, which includes the $250-350 application fee. Seeing as IncFile provides a trademark registration service with a free search (which InCorp charges an additional $399 for), we do not advise purchasing this service from InCorp.

Facebook (31 reviews) 3.0 out of 5 stars

We were able to track down a total of 171 reviews for InCorp. The majority of these reviews are positive in nature, so it’s clear that InCorp is popular with its customers.

If you want to get a better feel for what the InCorp customer experience is like, we recommend you spend a few minutes looking over their reviews for yourself.

In general, their clients discuss how pleased they are with the speed of InCorp’s services, as well as the assistance they receive from their support reps. For us, customer feedback is a slight point in InCorp’s favor, although it’s important to note that they also have plenty of customers who aren’t entirely satisfied, given their mid-range average rating scores.

Is InCorp Right for You?

InCorp is an intriguing option for limited liability company formation service. They have decent customer feedback, and if you’re also in the market for registered agent service, they have some of the best price points in the entire industry.

Still, seeing as no two entrepreneurs are exactly alike, they’re not going to be the perfect answer for everyone. With that in mind, let’s review some scenarios where their services may or may not be right for you.

✔ When to Form an LLC with InCorp

If you want a provider that balances competitive pricing — especially if you want registered agent service with your LLC formation — and good customer reviews, InCorp should be a nice fit for your business.

✖ When NOT to Form an LLC with InCorp

There are some competitors who can save you money by bundling services together. If you want a cheaper option, consider an alternative LLC website.

Final Verdict:

They might not be the cheapest, and they don’t have the widest array of features, but InCorp has plenty of important factors in their favor. They’re a reliable option for your LLC formation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions? We’ve got answers.

Does InCorp Offer Any Discounts?

Yes. They offer impressive volume discounts if you purchase registered agent service and you’re willing to prepay multiple years in advance.

Does InCorp Have Good Customer Support?

They really do. InCorp doesn’t outsource its customer service to a massive call center like some of its competitors do. Instead, whenever you call them, you’ll speak to a knowledgeable professional who’s located at their Las Vegas office.

In addition, they offer extended support hours (9 am-9 pm ET M-F) and Spanish-language support.

Are There Other Good LLC Formation Services Out There?

Yup! There are dozens of LLC formation services online and many of them offer decent to good overall value. However, in our opinion — ZenBusiness, IncFile, and Northwest Registered Agent are the three best options.

Do They Have a Refund Policy?

If you request a refund within 60 days, InCorp will provide your refund less a $29 fee in most circumstances.

Can I Form an LLC on My Own?

You certainly do have this option, and many entrepreneurs do indeed DIY their LLC formations. However, we would caution that because each state has its own rules and regulations for LLCs, there can be a considerable amount of research involved.

On the other side of the coin, some people hire lawyers to form their LLCs, but this option is much more expensive than using an online LLC service.

Should I Reserve My LLC Name Before Forming an LLC?

In most situations, it’s not necessary to reserve your business name before forming your LLC. The only exceptions are if you’re not ready to form your company yet, but you want to make sure the name you want will still be available, and if you’re forming in a state like Alabama which requires a name reservation before formation.

If neither of those scenarios applies to you, then you do not need to reserve a name ahead of time.

Does InCorp Handle State-Specific Requirements Like New York Publication and Alabama Name Reservation?

We couldn’t track down the answer to this question on their website, so we contacted InCorp’s customer support department to find out.

They told us that they do indeed offer assistance with state-specific compliance requirements for LLC formations, including publication requirements, name reservations, and more. Most of their competitors don’t offer any of these services, so this is a nice advantage for InCorp.

What Is the InCorp Customer Support Phone Number and Email?

If you want to connect with an InCorp customer service rep via phone, you can contact them at 1-800-2INCORP.

You can also email them by selecting which department you’re trying to reach and filling out the relevant form on their “Contact Information” page. Also, they also have a live chat function that you can access from the same page.

Does InCorp Sell or Share My Information With Third Parties?

Quite a few of InCorp’s competitors share your information with other entities, usually under the guise of “free extras” or “bonus features.” InCorp, however, does not do this often. They handle your LLC formation process in-house, and they don’t try to trick you into sharing your info with third-party partners. The only exception is how InCorp outsources its business licensing services to a third-party contractor called LicenseLogix.

I’ve Heard LegalZoom Has a Lot of Upsells. Does InCorp?

This question is a bit harder to answer for InCorp than it is for some competing services like LegalZoom, simply because InCorp only has one LLC formation service package.

Because of this, they offer a variety of add-on services on their order form, like registered agent service, annual reports, EIN acquisition, LLC kits and seals, etc. Due to the way they present their services, we don’t really consider them to be upsells, and we don’t have any issue with the way they advertise their products and services.

Can I Form an LLC Without Physically Being in the United States?

You sure can, and this is actually one of the reasons why so many people choose to form LLCs. Not only do you not need to be physically located in the U.S. to start an LLC, but you also don’t need to be an American citizen or resident. Just about anyone can form an LLC!

How Quickly Does InCorp Process LLC Formations?

InCorp’s processing times are quite similar to most of its competitors. They base their turnarounds on the requirements of each specific state, which means your LLC formation’s processing time could be as quick as just a few days, or as lengthy as several weeks. In general, their estimates are nearly identical to the competition.

Is $69 More Worth Getting an EIN?

In our opinion, it’s worth the extra expense to have our completed articles of organization and our EIN confirmation in the same place.

Still, if the convenience isn’t worth the $69 it costs to have InCorp acquire an EIN on your behalf, you can get one from the IRS yourself for free. This category is purely a matter of personal preference.
